China's new maglev train has been successfully tested

On 23rd May Changsha military newspaper reporter (reporter Wang Wowen, correspondents Zhang Youlong) reporter today from the National University of Defense Technology learned that the school led development of a new type of maglev train prototype vehicle operation test has been successful, up to 160 kilometers per hour. The experts pointed out that the successful operation test was the stage achievement of the national "13th Five-Year" advanced track traffic key project, which marked the key technology of medium speed maglev traffic in China, which is of great significance for promoting the development of China's maglev traffic technology.

 
For the first time, the train adopted the technical scheme of "long stator permanent magnet linear synchronous traction + permanent magnet electromagnetic hybrid suspension" . It has the characteristics of low energy consumption, high traction efficiency and convenient replacement and maintenance of equipment, etc. Through the optimization and upgrading of the traction and suspension system, a series of key technical breakthroughs have been realized in the aspects of modularization, lightweight and integration. Compared with the medium and low speed maglev traffic, the suspension power is reduced by 20%, the traction efficiency is raised by more than 10%, and the comprehensive technical performance has reached the advanced international level.
 
According to the experts, the maglev train has the advantages of no contact, friction, low noise, low loss, easy maintenance and so on. It is known as "zero altitude aircraft". At present, the world's commercial operation mainly includes two types of maglev lines: high speed, medium speed and low speed. The speed of high speed maglev is fast, but the structure of the system is complex, the cost is high, the turning radius is large, the line selection is high, the middle and low speed maglev structure is simple, the turning radius is small, and the line selection is flexible, but there are some shortcomings such as low traction efficiency and limited speed lifting. How to develop the medium speed maglev train with both advantages and disadvantages has become a new topic in the development of maglev transportation in China.
 
Since 2009, the school has worked with China car Tangshan locomotive and Vehicle Co., Ltd., Beijing Maglev Transportation Development Co., and the Electrical Engineering Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It has taken the road of independent innovation of military and civilian integration. After many years of hard work, it has achieved mixed suspension control, high precision positioning and speed measurement, and reduced the heating of electromagnet. A series of Guan Jian technical breakthroughs, such as the optimization of the structure of electrical equipment, and the development of a new type of maglev train with 160 km per hour, have laid a solid technical foundation for the medium speed maglev traffic of 200 kilometers per hour in China.
 
This new type of maglev train, which has the advantages of high speed and middle low speed maglev traffic, will provide a convenient and fast green rail vehicle for our country. It is very suitable for running between urban groups, central cities and satellite cities and large cities, and has a broad application prospect.
